I removed the standard wash bottle thats bolted to the inside of the wing and fitted a newer 1 that sits inside the wing and fills the gap from the rear of the n/s headlight to the front of the scoop for the heater. Fills up the gap completely. Will post pics if you require them.

Dirty picture to illustrate :)

That's the baby. Saves me taking a pic now :) . For some reason I had problems drilling the holes to mount it. Prob me making the job harder than it really was. This setup also gives you 2 pumps at the front so you can do away with your rear tank if you have 1 or double the volume of water on the front screen

Here you go Ralph.

Nothing really technical, I fabbed a bracket to suit the Disco I bottle, extended the water pipes and electrical connections and filled the thing up with water and glass cleaner.

Please scooze the dusty engine bay.....I havn't driven it in three weeks....during which time we've had some massive sand & dust storms.

My plenum air inlet has been changed from left to right...this might or might not make a difference to the space required. Plus...I moved the aircon box inside the cab to get better effect.

I'm not certain of the volume....four litres maybe more. Quite alot though.

Other than that...I don't see any issues with fitting a bigger water bottle into a Defender.

Regards.

S.

Cheers Streaky, might not fit my Tdi bay

Won't fit in a Defender 300Tdi bay as the air intake plumbing is in the way, also the Tdi is taller than the V8, so cylinder head also likely to get in the way. On a 200Tdi, engine is closer to bulkhead so even less likely to fit... :(
