Trailer light comin on

Hi all

me again. my trailer warning light comes on once when i use the indicators and i dont have a trailer attached. i have the electrics and a tow bar at the back but have never used them. any ideas??

Mine does it when the hazards are used instead of the main flasher light - assume that was LR Standard. It also did it once in a major rainstorm when the Lucarse wiring threw a paddy and I lost about half my indicators.

That's correct, it should flash once when turning either direction then go out & with a trailer attached it should flash at the same speed as the vehicle one & with hazard lights on it should flash in unison whether a trailer is attached or not

Nothing wrong. They are supposed to do that...

Think it's just because on first flick the power will be sent to to trailer to test if theres one there and when it comes back blank the 90 just assumes it's not there.

correct, i read the operating manual, when the key is turned to position 2 the the trailer circut is tested and then gose off. this is the case for most systems on startup. but i have never noticed the light coming on once when indicating. i guess i have just missed the initial flash.

Just a note, mine doesn't flash once whenever the indicators are pressed, but the light works as it comes on for the Hazards.
