JimAttrill Posted October 30, 2007 Share Posted October 30, 2007 We had a 300Tdi in for a cambelt change today and the OEM or LR crank pulley had failed. The spot-welded shoulder had fallen off. The belt had tried to wear through the front housing, but luckily we got there first. The owner was very lucky. The only crank pulley we use is the Bearmach forged one. BogMonster Posted November 2, 2007 Share Posted November 2, 2007 glad i got a V8 not much advantage to be had with V8s, mine is about to get a new timing chain and sprockets at 37000 religiously serviced miles from new, because there is so much slack in the timing chain it looks like one of those diagrams of how a satellite gets thrown around the moon by the gravity...
