Pics of Tomcat windscreen mounting please!

Hi Steve,

I am concidering the same move.

IIRC the standard way is to weld a strip of steel inside the front hoop to enable the windscreen rubber to locate the glass.

Not that easy as it has to be waterproof and the curve is cut from a square peice of metal if you see what I mean?

Then make a template for the flat glass and get it cut to shape to fit.

If I am incorrect or there is a better way then I am sure someone will come along :D

If this is how you go ahead I would like to know your experience?

Cheers,

weld 1/2" x 1/8" strip to the cage, tomcat weld about 50% (1" weld, 1"gap),

then glue it in with some good silicon sealer, have screen cut to leave about 1/4" clearance all round,

Will test how much your cage is flexing though.

Never had a problem on mine except when putting trees through it <_<

Removing broken screen is easy.

Normally costs about £35 for local glazer to cut out of 6mm laminated with kite mark
