I rekon an early Disco...

This is a defender. Should be similar on yours.

This is the right side, viewed from the front.

The lock stop is forward (to the left, in the picture) of the silver swivel ball. This side controls the amount of left lock. Wind out to decrease the lock.

Don't forget to loosen the locking nut on the other end of the bolt (ie between the brake disc and the hub flange). Get some witches tiddle in there and let it soak for a while and use a good quality open ended spanner on the lock nut. When this is loose the bolt will wind in or out quite easily.

yeah, that's what i did wrong, didn't notice the lock nut untill after shownig it my large breaker bar, i suppose breaker is the correct word, ha. i found the lock nut before tryintg the other one. i'll have to turn another one up at work.
