Guest diesel_jim
you can get the proper stuff from LR (just been searching for it on microcat, but it only comes up as a reference number not a part number) and is expensive from LR or a B&Q special

nicks90
plenty of hot water and h/d kitchen degreaser liquid. shake it all about and rinse thoroughly. lovely and clean inside. refitted it and left the top hose off and gave it some revs. Turbo spooled up and blew all the remaining moisture out in seconds. easy peasy. Les Henson
I use petrol. I put about 1/2 pint in, slosh it around for a while, tip it out and if it's black I do the same thing again until it comes out clean. I then use an old hair dryer blowing through one of the ends to remove any petrol vapour. It usually only takes a couple of pints to clean one out. Les.
