Did you have any luck in your search for a Plasma friendly pulley block?

If not have you looked at this:

note the grease nipple. There is an R clip on the reverse side so the whole unit can be field stripped and zero play in the two halves

Nige, those things are good but they need to be well maintained otherwise they become stiff. Also, the R clips are a PITA to deal with when you've got cold fingers.
