stuckinthemud
Has anyone experience of using the Nanocom on a Disco TD5? I'm considering getting one, so looking for experiences (good and bad) of the unit before I part with the dosh! Is the price pretty fixed, or are there known dealers who are slightly cheaper (not interested in eBay, as all I've seen are the earlier v1 units). JimAttrill
Have a look around the forums, I think you are duplicating an existing question.
stuckinthemud
I did, but all the threads I could find were either specific to the Defender or didn't actually answer the question.
dangerous doug
we have one on ours....brilliant! there was a problem with a kenlowe not coolin gthe engine....the temp gauge on the dash showed no problems but the nanno com showed the temp going through the roof! it can also store ecu maps
JimAttrill
That temp gauge on the dash is made by VDO to LR specifications. That's why it never shows the engine getting hot, exactly like the Tdi gauge. Well, it will show the engine getting hot eventually, but by that time your engine and goose are cooked. dangerous doug
right.....the answer to that its better to buy the nannocom just for that!

lynall
Mines been good saved me a few quid at the dealers, and of course when car sold it will sell well on e-bay. Lynall
Tobias
What is a reasonable max on engine temp? Mine will raise from 88 to 95 when towing the rangie up a hill with the auto in 3rd and a mild box-chiptune T
dooroy
Like to hear what you think of Nanocom Neil as I live in the ROI ans have been considering the Nanocom .There are not many Disco's around and going to the main dlr is not an option .I have an 01 Td5 7 str with 180K on the clock and have just recently replaced flywheel/clutch/injector loom/oil seals etc .I had the engine out to do the job and all is running fine again but I think the Nanocom could help - there is hesitation for example occasionally and I have always found intermittent faults to be very hard to pin down.Prevention is often better than cure .Let us know how it goes .
