western
I'm after the plug which will fit this Socket so I can sort my Td5 gauges. I haven't found any makers marks/name on the grey socket, it only has a bar code label with 10926067838 printed on it, I even tried a Google & Ask search for the barcode but get 'nothing found' even looked on RS & Tyco websites & still haven't found a match my wanted ad. the part I want is Connector Male C1048 If any one knows of a Td5 main loom being scrapped Please let me know as I'd like to get the plug to fit this socket. otherwise I'll have to chop it off & fit another type of multiway connector. mmgemini
I haven't a clue but I know a man that might know... Have a look at www.REEDX.net. Ask Colin. I know he was trying to get TD5 connectors some time ago. I don't know if he was successful or not. HTH mike

PaulMc
Ralph, The connector you have is the Male half (denoted by the gender of it's terminals) It's a Sumitomo HD Series 14-way connector, Pt. No. M(6098-0254) The Female half you're looking for is Pt. No. F(6098-0253) and the terminals (receptacles) to fit are - F(8240-4412) for 0.3mm2 cable and F(8240-4422) for 0.5 - 1.25 mm2 cable Here's a link to the Sumitomo HD Series Connector Catalogue - http://www.sws.co.jp/en/product/connector/pdf/nwp_hd.pdf I picked-up a complete 2001 > Freelander loom (to cannibalise) at one of the shows last year and it's got the connector you're looking for on it - You're more than welcome to it. PaulMc
Ralph, I'll stick it in the post, first thing on Monday. I'll leave about 6" of cable on the back of it - is that enough? Paul.

PaulMc
Ralph, The connector you have is the Male half (denoted by the gender of it's terminals) It's a Sumitomo HD Series 14-way connector, Pt. No. M(6098-0254) The Female half you're looking for is Pt. He supplies a connector set, comprising - female shell with 10 x female terminals + male shell, with 10 x male terminals Ref: 10P090K-SMHM, for $6.49 + P&P, here - http://www.easternbeaver.com/Main/Elec__Products/Connectors/090_Connectors/090_connectors.html . PaulMc
good find Paul , my adapted connectors are doing a fine job. Glad to hear it Ralph I forgot to add that these Sumitomo 090 female terminals F(8240-4422) are also the ones used in some of the Splice Connector Headers found in Land Rover looms. i.e. C0759 & C0760, that are behind the Discovery 2 instrument binnacle, and are used for instrument/switch illumination and earth - . Very handy when adding extra binnacle switches. .
