MuddyMachine
I am rebuilding my 1985 90 on to a 300 galv chassis, it now has a 300 bulk head and a td5 seat box. Using the R380 gear box, which tunnel pieces do I need or is it a case of making my own? Cheers
Eightpot
Well I think you'll get away with just the bellhousing cover, which is wider than a LT77 one. I reckon the gearbox tunnel panel will still fit and match up to the seat box but I'm sure someone will confirm. You'll need to modify the floor panels a bit as well to match the different shape of the bellhousing cover.

western
both used the R380 main gearbox with a long bellhousing.
Mo Murphy
Can you use an R380 tunnel on an Lt77 box ? I understand the matching bulkhead flange may foul the bell housing, anyone know by how much ? Mo
western
Well my 110 has a R380 on it's 200Tdi & it still has the original LT77 tunnel & bulkhead part fitted.

OilIT
If youve got a 300tdi/td5 bulkhead and seatbox then you need the black plastic gearbox tunnel as opposed to the normal lt77 ally ones. With regard to clearance - there was a big conversation on this a year or so back - I think it was posted on the tech archive or somewhere similar - might be worth a scout around there...it was specific to the availability of all those defender bulkheads and what combinations could/would fit.
