waveydave
For a well preped vehicle and careful driver its a fun but totaly doable lane. Your bog standerd 4x4 will recive damage especialy if the driver uses the lead foot attack technique. I have done and try to go up there with nothing more grippy than MT's (ops forgot to say lockers and some extra flex to boot ) Yes there are some twats out there who use this as a play ground driving the BOAT as a mud pit and going into the woods, Ridgeway top farm part of Ridge way by the stream crossing has been totaly raped by w*****s 'offroading' in the woods and, the Punch Bowl has a simular problem. If you see people off piste local plod and park ranger's would love to hear from you there numbers are posted at the start of most of the lanes. DrRob
Thanks for the info Waveydave! We may head up there soon.. Not been around RWay farm area yet - is that what they call the "Steps"? I've seen some video on YouTube. Some individuals are now suggesting that number plates should be used to report any off BOAT abuse if witnessed in the flesh....Tend to agree as they will spoil it in the end for all of us.... waveydave
Yes ridgeway farm is also known as the steps. Good days laning to be had in the general area but make sure you take a second vehicle with you unless you know where the call box's are. Theres large areas where mobileys wont work and the lanes around hindhead are well known for eating halfshafts and crown wheels.

Jon White
Just stay on the rights of way and dont be tempted to go playing in the "off piste" holes that have been created by the idiots! Jon
waveydave
a Jon says. There will be no sympathy if your caught off piste by plod or park wardens (and they do patrol there in 4x4's often) , even less so by locals. however its a fantasic place to visit. do it right and have a great day out
