joe1970
The backbody cappings are rusty and rotting on my 110 and I need some new ones. I phoned paddocks and the guy said they are a dealer part only, is this correct?
Muther Trucker
i think you can still get them from craddocks: http://www.johncraddockltd.co.uk/product_s...=3&page=new
mike4444244
Hi AFAIK the station wagon ones are available but the HT ones aren't, I got mine 2nd hand, until I found them I was toying with the idea of making 109 ones fit if I could... soutie
When I had my 110 refurbed at gigglepin a few years ago they used series galvanised ones. They are not welded together as 110 ones are but I don't think most people notice.
Yostumpy
look on e-bay. sellers. hobson_bros have some. zinc coated and painted white, new take offs complete full length and return on rear corners, £70 a pair plus 18. p+p. although you could haggle. These are for the ht NOT sw. Was going to get a pair for mine, but luckily won a new pair on galv. military ones for £20. All I want now is a pair of galv corner cappings ,craddocks list them but I'll hang on a while, it's a summer job anyway. cheers Stumpy. Steve Warman
So what do people use to search on ebay for the cappings? I search for cap* and rail* but would they come up under any other names? Stumpy, just searched for hobson_bros but didn't return any sellers. Steve
Yostumpy
Sorry took me a while to find it. Go to ebay shops. type in hobson-bros and click shop NOT item. Capping are not listed but they DO have lots, so you'll have to e-mail ( contact the seller) usually v.quick response. NOTE the corrcet position of the dash between the two words, this one is correct. cheers Stumpy. Let us know how you get on, every one likes a happy ending. ChrisM_110
Just to add I got a set of NTO cappings from Hobson Bros. Slow delivery, but a good item, a lightly marked new take off in white. Zinc sprayed, as on new LR's rather than galv, but still a billion times better than my 1989 rust magnets. Edit: Got them for £70 all in delivered.
