rekab69
Hi All, Is it possable and straight forward to change from a rear door to a tail gale and lift up door...? Anyone done this? Thanks Dave..
western
if the existing rear crossmember doesn't have the hinge mounts for a drop tailgate, you'll have to make or source some & weld them on, you maybe lucky to find 110 parts from a older vehicle or use Series 2 or 3 parts. rekab69
Or search the tech archive, the conversion has been done by people... Always have a search before I post a question, just never seem to have any luck with the search engine. Tried rear door/tailgate/ tail gate.. etc... A Twig, if you can remember the link, please let me know... Thanks Ralph for you input.. cheers Dave

western
I spotted a blue 90 hardtop on base which has a lift up rear door & drop tailgate, might be able to get some photo's if you need them, just need to find out who owns it first. 92.9
That's really handy! Just what I was thinking of in my other thread, but to go with a side-opening tailgate. Link saved for future reference! Thanks Mike
