I've just gone through another batch of posts from new members and approved all apart from the usual multiple submissions of identical posts.

The reasons why new member posts do not instantly appear after you hit the Reply or Post New Topic button will be fully explained if you click here.

Please save both yourself and the moderators time and frustration by familiarising yourself as to why we have the system we do and understanding why the first few topics or replies you submit after joining us will not show up straight away. The amount of time it takes for us to approve submissions varies depending on the time of day and how much time we have to waste reading and deleting duplicate posts over and over again.

Having experience of several other fora (if that is the plural of forum) be assured its not just Land Rover owners that don't read the instructions.

Not that it makes it any easier on the poor moderators, but you are not alone.

Cheers

David

Just bringing this reminder to the top for the benefit of some our new members - a few of whom might also not be aware that we also have a forum search facility. This tool allows you to punch in a few keywords and is handy to find out if your question or query might have been asked before.

The search function is accessed via a tab situated in the strip just under the LR4x4.com logo amongst the

LR4x4 T&Cs Forum Charter Funding Gallery Calendar Members Search Help tabs. Please try it - you might enjoy it.

Couldn;t new members get an email when registering explaining all this to them/linking them to the info? Don't know how easy that would be to setup so it is automated and no more work for you guys, but it would make sure this is all pointed out to them. Actually, does that happen already? (I can;t remember!)

all that's required is to read the text that is on screen during the registration process & the T&C's link & Forum Charter link under the LR4x4.com header at the top of the page.

easy really, don't need to be a rocket scientist :D
