Yes.

No.

Yes they do :P

I kinda object to the price they were charging for trigger wheels & sensor brackets, but since I got a batch of my own cut I don't have to buy them from them anymore so it doesn't bother me. I believe the guy who runs it is a member of the MS community & a nice chap, the stuff is nicely done and the price is not bad at all really.

Micro is more money, has an external MAP sensor and lower injector drive current (which from memory I think may be pushing it a little bit for a Rover V8 with 4 injectors per channel).

is that a good price??? (thats the big question i wanna know?)

Yep.

If you want to get the most support from the guys above then you should look to getting MS1 rather than Micro.

If you then set it up with the same version of firmware/software they will know exactly what you have and how to help you.

A cheaper version of trigger wheel is available from Ford as fitted to transit vans.

PM FridgeFreezer above. He should be able to supply all you need unless he's up to his ears in it.

That'll be because my inbox was full (500 messages!) :o

And I'm not making any more ECU's for the moment, I don't have the free time.

Well I'd hope if trigger-wheels.com are selling them for Rover V8's they work OK, I know Bill & I have talked about it and concluded it could be close. My personal view is that Micro is 50 quid extra and less flexible (you can't add I/O as easily as it's all SMD) so "normal" MS would seem to make the most sense.

which is better megasquirt 1 or 2??

That depends on what you mean by better. For the average Land Rover V8, MS2 is overcomplicated. A normal MS1 on a V3 board is all you need.

how much a complete megasquirt kit is for my rover v8?

Define complete - my usual kit is:

ECU

EDIS 8

Trigger wheel & sensor mount

30cm Wiring tail

Which runs to about £400, depending.

But you could also define it as:

ECU

EDIS 8

Trigger wheel & sensor mount

VR sensor

IAT sensor

lambda sensor & boss

Plug-and-play loom complete with all relays etc.

RS232 cable

Software CD

Big book of instructions

Vacuum hose & tee piece

2x coil packs & bracket

Which would be a few quid extra ;)
