andy2986
Hi, there are cheap Lambda on ebay. does anyone know if they are suitable replacements for the standard 3.9 efi lambdas? or could any one point me to a supplier of suitable ones that are not £100 each? Thanks Andy
v8bobber
Andy, I have the two lambda sensors that I took off my 3.9 efi when I put it into my trials machine. PM me if you are interested in them (if I can find them that is!)PM me Dave
FridgeFreezer
Probably not - RR lamdas are titania not zirconia and hence the more common "universal" (zirconia) sensors will not work. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxygen_sensor

You know - it occurs to me that some bright spark ( ) might be able to electronically manipulate the signal from a zirconia sensor to mimic the titania style and hence use them with the 14CUX ECU - it would only cost pennies surely? I had a feeling that was the case, thanks for that. Dave you have a PM !! Andy
Aragorn
Just Lambda have universal titania sensors for about £60 or "direct fit" for about 70... http://www.lambdasensor.co.uk/main/ntkprice/price.pl?item=OTD3G-3A1
andy2986
Aragom, thanks great site. having read it it would appear that one of the main differences between the two types of lambda is zirconia sensors create there own voltage where as titania adjusts the supply voltage. TBH given the reliability of Lambda sensors and the cost of making an actual product that people could buy, versus the tight-fistedness of the average LR owner... no, I'm not sure I could be bothered

ThreeSheds
OH poo ! back to school for me then... No you are wrong again - it's "OH PUER!", as in that famous quote from the classics: "Puer, oh puer, oh puer!" when Mark Antony met Cleopatra
