Before I go and buy anything, brand new or otherwise, I'm looking for the following:

1. QT Diff Guards - Front and Back for Defender 90

2. 2" Lift Kit (Springs, Shocks, Dislocation Front & Rear, Brake Hoses, Bumper Stops)

Paddocks have (2) at £358 but seems expensive?

Also looking for

3. Good Halogen Lamps for Front Bumper.

All help and advice appreciated

Mark

your title says 2" lift advice and the post reads for items wanted, so not sure if this is what you want but:

1. QT guards - go for a walk around any challenge site post event there will ones lying on the ground, they fall off for a past time in my experience.

2. £358 - expensive? all relative i suppose, my shocks were about that price alone. i think its the saying of you get what you pay for and it depends what and how often you are going to use the truck to justify the cost.

3. Have you tried X-Lites from Simon?

I have a Front QT Diff Guard you can have for nowt

it needs to be straightend a bit

collect or postage at your cost.

Me too! And a nackered diff pan in the bargain :( :(

If you want your lift kit to ride nicely then be wary of paddocks kits as the springs achieve the lift by having very stiff springs.

Give Gwyn Lewis a call or Devon 4x4 and talk through your budget and requirements.

X-Eng lites are luverly :)

i run Southdown ones, weld on front and bolt on rear never had any trouble with them.

Gwyn does them too as does Gigglepin

Speak with someone like Devon 4x4 first. I have been talking with Chris there and he advises about problems encountered with the front propshaft once you start to lift!!!

You should also consider why you need to lift it in the first place.

Theres many competative trucks on here that are running without much lift at all.
