300Tdi problem..

Recommended Posts

hi chaps.

My mothers 300Tdi 90 bottom end rebuilt over a year ago.

its running very lumpy. i have teraced that the lift pump had gone.. so changed that and when the it first went wrong we had the injector tested.

the 3rd injector was weak. but its been fine

we are running all our truck on bio.. i run my 200 on 70-90% bio and mums 90 run 90% bio.

since i changed the lift pump i took it for a run but it still runs lumpy at 1000 or 1200RPM.

my borther has put injector clearer through, me and dad have checked the tappets, checked the flow from fillter to injector pump.. all okay.

allso the head gaskit has been gone for a while.. dont ask why no one has ordered the bits. thats reallty the only thing i can think of.

its doing the same things as my old series did when head gaskit was gone.

its allso a bugger to start.

if anyone can assit me im 90% certen that it is that head gaskit. if anyone thinks any differant

cheers

sam

right: we have had it all striped down..

here is the verdict..

as i suspected.. split head gaskit, and cracked head, fuel pump time gear was cracked witch it then sh*gged the injector pump,

and that lead to the woofruf key getting riped up and then that lead to timing belt being chewed up and now the timing is completly out!!!

allso the vacume pump was gone but i new that..

all in all about another £1000 to get that fix..

so this turning into one bloody expensive truck!!!

time to sell i recon when mended lol..

cheers

sam
