Tibout
hi there i think i've put this post ages ago but i did'nt see and thread on the tech archive. but it's quiet straight forward the only bit which is tricky is to remove the old cv on the shaft i've secure the shaft in a soft grip and use a copper mallet to knock the cv off. don't forget to put a new circlip when putting the new cv. also i've cable tie the caliper first instead of rmoving the brake hose so avoiding the bleeding hassle. ask if you are stuck with something thierry

landroversforever
I didnt change mine, but my thread shows quite a few pictures of the assembly of that area. I think the index of the TEch archive is/was down. Neil you have my number if you want to ask me anything about it

landroversforever
if i remember correctly, its a J reg, so will have 32 splines on the inner cage.
smokinv8
Good job I checked 1st Ross, it was 23 spline. Remind me not too trust you! Lol
Retroanaconda
Not standard then, a truck of that age will have had 10-spline diffs and 32-spline CVs, ie. the worst possible setup. The 10-spline diff and 23-spline setup yours has is what came on earlier vehicles, much stronger at the CV end
