zim Posted November 8, 2010 Share Posted November 8, 2010 Evening, Due to a roll yesterday we managed to break both engine mounts and the n/s gearbox mount. They were just the normal landrover rubber type. I'm wondering what the best option for stopping this happen next time ? Are the qt mounts the way to go or what are recomendations ? V8 90 JON Posted November 8, 2010 Share Posted November 8, 2010 After coming into contact with a kin large oak tree going backwards at a fair old lick, both my engine mounts sheared,i have fitted then qt ones in your post, good quality and i cant see them falling to bits in a hurry! Gremlin Posted November 10, 2010 Share Posted November 10, 2010 Quick cheap solution is to wrap them in seat belt webbing, just add holes to the belt and trap the edges between the mount and the chassis mount.
