Les Henson
If your old clutch fork did this:- Then do this to the new one and it'll last ages longer. The end. Les.

BogMonster
They also sometimes split across the middle of the dome. I am told that a repair bodge here years ago was to take the cup out of a drop arm ball joint kit and weld it over the back of the domed bit. By the time the ball wears through that, the rest is probably about f***ed
Guest diesel_jim
Les, what did you weld over it? just "weld" or a washer?
Les Henson
Jim I heated a square of 3mm plate until it was cherry red, then hammered it to the exact shape of the dome and then welded it in place. Easy to do with oxy gear. Les.
