ejparrott
any ideas?? Use Cellulose paint from The Paintman for £14/liter ish. Right paint, right colour, job done.
Retroanaconda
Unless you have a proper air-fed mask I'd stay away from 2-pack paints. After all it's the car you want to put the paint on, not the inside of your lungs... I bought a tin of Bronze Green from Turners Trade Paints in Cannock, Staffs. Believe it's coach enamel, or something like that. It went on fine with a brush anyway When I come to re-paint fully later this year I will use a roller for a slightly better finish, as I don't have the spraying equipment. Jon White
You'll be better off with the Sparex synthetic stuff that most parts suppliers stock. 2pack is nasty stuff, and is illegal to use in a residential area. Jon
Landy-Novice
retroanaconda, Turners Trade Paints is well to far away unless they will post? and jon, can it be sprayed on(a friend offered to spray my truck, and i dont want to let him down) and is there a link for the Sparex synthetic in bronze greeen?? cheers LN
Steve Hiatt
I buy my two pack from Auto Colour Match in Banbury, 01295 256873. I'm fairly sure he would post. I seem to remember it's about £20 a litre plus VAT. You will need hardner and thinners too unless your friend is supplying these. If your friend has access to an airfed mask I wouldn't consider using anything else.
Retroanaconda
Yes Turners will post, they did to me. By all means if you have a friend with the facilities then use 2-pack, in which case your local trade auto paints supplier can help. But he'll need an air fed mask as above, and you'll have to ensure that no vapours find their way over to your neighbours and choke their dog/children. Personally I'd go with the synthetic stuff
wozza35
Teamac do a land rover green that is pretty close and its about £8 a litre from mole valley farmers
Jon White
Yes you can spray synthetic no problem. Google it - its on Sparex's website. Keith Gott stocks it, and will probably mail order it to you if you cant find a more local supplier. Jon
