perv
Good evening all, can anyone please help? I need to find the internal thread on the outer (splined end that passes through the drive member) part of a RRC 93 CV joint. I have replaced the drive members but unable to re-fit the shims and circlip as the CV can not be pulled through the drive member, I think the thread is metric fine but can't be sure. Thanks Ash
landroversforever
I managed to pull mine out far enough by putting the biggest bolt I could still get in there wedge it sideways and then pull on it. I gave up trying to find the right thread! (Mine are the AEU2522s)
Bowie69
Ditto, I've not found the right thread, but you can hook one of the drive member bolts in and pull it out normally.

smokinv8
Or u could struggle and struggle and swear loudly failing to get the stub to pull out enough. Then take it apart again to realise the cv hadn't engaged into the back of the hub properly!!! Obviously wasn't me!

landroversforever
Could always get hold of some thread gauges Ash, then you can work out what it is for all of us
perv
Got some gauges Ross but it's an internal thread so a little tricky. I am away again at the mo and unable to get to measure them and running out of time for summer sisters so thought i'd ask the question on here 1st.
