Opinions on Headman Headers please!!

Headers in general (4 branch equal length) are good for top end power with correct other mods, not good for Torque i.e. offroading.

HfH did a bit on another thread.

I put 4 branch headers on my hybrid and had to sort out the fueling to get the engine working as before.

Adding exhaust wrap to them to reduce the resulting higher engine bay temps from the header heat caused even more fueling problems as the exhaust flow is even quicker.

Headman are thought to be a bit good (best?) from threads i have seen elsewhere.

i am sure someone will add better information soon though.

Marc.

Overrated for a Rover lump, 3.9 $:2s + decent 2 : 1s to a Y are pretty much as good, better on torque,

as stated earlier 4:1s moves power to top end at expense of bottom end, and can crack in cold water

Cast units arein the main plentifull and cheap, just not as bling, but cast prob = nicer engine !

Been there, done that, read the book, got the tee shirt and interviewed the author.

Stick with cast manifolds.

Mine were wrapped too, that was just hateful stuff.

No, that stuff is just vicious and vindictive , mind you would be nice to wrap a politician or two in it, but I digress.
