Mudmonkey
Anyone have any opinion on the Halfords Pro torque wrench? Also any idea on the cost of it with a trade card? Cheers
steve200TDi
I bought the small one (10Nm - 60Nm) and I think you get about £10 off. Regarding the quality of it, I use it for work on a regular basis and it's faultless. The calibration of the torque wrench gets checked every 6 months and it hasn't failed in the 4 or so years that I've had it. One thing to watch out on is I think they're only gaurenteed for 1 year and do not have a lifetime warrenty on them so you may want to get some clarification on this if you do choose to buy. Diablo
I got the monster one and it was about £47 instead of
KennyC
I too bought the smaller one ( for the motorbikes ) and it is very well made indeed. Do tell us how much you get the larger one for on a trade card..may be interested myself ( just take it to the till for a quote on your trade card, that's what I normally do with Halfrauds goods ) :-)
Mudmonkey
I'm looking at getting the mid sized one (40-200Nm) which is £75 on the website. Also on the website it does say that it's got the usual Halfords lifetime guarantee. Not sure if this might have changed since you bought yours Steve. L19MUD
I have the small and large one, between the two they cover everything you should need on a Land Rover. The big one is not man enough for the wheel nuts on my 7.5 tonner though
Bowie69
A mate recently bought all three, after buying one and finding really good, he has a trade card, think it was about 30-40% off, but not sure.
matthew2riches
I have the smaller one and the biggest one and use them 2 or 3 days a week. Never had an issue with them. Just don't use it as a breaker bar!
