AndrewHorsfield
Hi all, I am planning on fitting a Rev counter on my 2.5NA and about to buy a Durite one that measures form 0 to 4,000 revs. Is this the correct range for my engine please? Thanks in advance
western
0 to 5000 might be better, my defender workshop bok says max revs is 4200 +/- 20rpm

Ash.Witty
The maximum governed speed of a 2.5N/A is 4400 Rpm, although its probably not a good idea to ever take it that high!
nickwilliams
If you get it to more than 4000 rpm regularly or for any extended period then the fact that your gauge is off the end of the dial will be the least of your problems!
AndrewHorsfield
Thanks all. Sounds as though I might as well go with the up to 4,000 revs, as Durite do one at sub £50 for Alternator pickup. It will be a few weeks before I get chance to do it, but I will post my learnings when I do. Cheers
