coachman
Well RR fans , I can onlythink this subject has been thrashed around more forums and tap rooms than enough . BUT ,now it is my turn , I am seriously considering converting my 1994 3.9 Classic vogue to LPG . But I also find the assortment of info and stories of WOE to be very offputting . Some one out there must have 1st hand knowledge of LPG and its foibles ,pitfalls ,advantages . and ofcourse the VAST ARRAY of `specialists . IS THERE SUCH A PERSON near Wakefield . PLEASE COACHMAN . elbekko
Have a look on lpgforum.co.uk. If at all possible, do the install yourself, it'll be so much cleaner. I've seen some **** the "specialists" do to a vehicle...
DavidL
My 4,2 lse is on gas and I wouldn't have it any other way. They aren't near Wakefield but Blaze autogas here in wiltshire run their own lpg rr and do seem to know what theyr're on about.
mickeyw
As elbekko says ^^^ If you are a reasonably competent person that can handle a spanner, as isn't afraid of some pretty simple wiring, do it yourself. I know a few that went on a course to learn how to install it and got themselves installed and certified at the same time. First and foremost though, if your engine doesn't run well to begin with, fitting an LPG system will not change that. In fact it can often show up problems that were less evident when running on petrol. A good installation on a healthy engine is very worthwhile. I've run my V8 90 on LPG for thirteen years now, and my RRC for a good six. Never had any problems. Both systems were installed by myself
Malachite
My 94 softdash is running on a single point system with no problems, Tinley tech will sell you a kit, provide training and issue a cert after you have installed the system. www.tinleytec.co.uk I have no connection with tinley tech other than a satified customer. task
My Disco runs on a single point LPG system and has done for many years with no issues. The CSK runs on a fancy sequential system, again with no issues. I recently drove the CSK 4000 miles across Europe on LPG and it behaved fine. The Disco was on LPG when I bought it but I converted the Range Rover and have converted other cars too with no issues.
Simon_CSK
My CSK is converted, My last P38 was converted and my current P38 is in the process of being converted. Agree with the above "I would not have it any other way" Even though my p38 does little mileage when I took it the 400 miles to London in September it made me weep the amount of petrol I used even though I topped 23MPG. Go for it you will never look back
