discomikey
Hi all, can anyone confirm the part numbers for LH and RH early 90 clip on door cappings as a mock version of the series door capping (see pic for reference): part book shows the part but doesent relate it to a number on the key. however the key does show "LH and RH waist capping with pn's MUC 3928 and MUC 3929 are these the correct part numbers? a google search of these part numbers doesent seem to bring up a lot and while they seem available on various parts stores and not for a lot of money too, they dont show a picture alongside the part so i am not sure cheers
western
identified in my 110 up to 1986 parts book as item 9, muc3928 http://www.brit-car.co.uk/product.php/163832/0/door_waist_capping_rhf_84_86_def & muc3929 http://www.brit-car.co.uk/product.php/163833/0/door_waist_capping_lhf_84_86_def

Anderzander
Would these fit a later push button door ?
Orgasmic Farmer
They could be made to fit I am sure. I 'think' they are simply riveted on from inside. In the event I get some later doors for mine I had planned to source some used 110 rear tub cappings and cut to size, weld on an end cap and get re-galved before tiger sealing them on to the doors (probably with a rivet or 2 just in case.) discomikey
yeah the pre 87 lift handle doors i have sourced are the ones without the cappings, but im pretty sure you can fit them with the use of some trim clippage or something i will write up about it when i get them
western
items 10 & 11 on the parts page above are the correct fittings for the galvanised strips, would mean drilling holes in the outer skin of push button doors to fit as per the parts book. Lewis
My lift handle doors on my '86 90 CSW don't have these trim strips, I've thought about adding them myself. What is the cost?
western
strip prices in the 2 brit-car links above, just copy/paste the attachment part numbers into the brit-car search, it should cough up the prices.
discomikey
arounf £30-40 ea so im definately gonna go for it, although i am being outrageous by fitting these to a series (ooh no they dont have enough rivets!!! they cant go on!!!) i want to keep it looking as "series" as possible at a glance. (because no matter what anyone says series doortops CANNOT handle prolonged periods of motorway speeds mixed with high winds!!!!!!)
