need4speed
Hmmm. This id like to see as i cant think for the life of me where they could neatly go?
greenstream
As I remember from the picture, there they where placed in a small piece of sheetmetal horizontaly in the panel beside the instruments.
Soren Frimodt
Hi Morten, unless its a prebuilt cage might I suggest you fit it so close to the windshield/bulkhead that moving the controls are not necessary? My Brother did this when he made his cage, I could snap a picture of it if you'd like?
greenstream
If thats possible, then a picture wouldd be nice. Its a cage we're going to build.
Soren Frimodt
Okay, I'll work at getting a picture tomorrow then
Snagger
If you do have to relocate them, how about to the other side of the instrument pod? You could use simple small pieces of angle to screw tot he side of the pod, securing the top and bottom of the quadrants (the screws you see at the ends of the slot). If you need to cover it up, then you may be able to use the plastic dash end that originally mounted the quadrants or use a sheet of plastic or metal painted with wrinkle paint or Halfords truck bed liner aerosol, which gives a nice texture and is robust. Soren Frimodt
here ya go: Space is tight, real tight. But this is with 50mm tube and as far as I know you usually don't use larger than 45mm? So there should be a little more room for you to play with. Expect some trimming of the door card if your customer is running Defender doors and not Series style
greenstream
Thanks That looks doable. You're right it is a LR with Defender doors, so will have to do some triming.
HoSS
I used a heater panel from a renault something from a breakers, 2 rotary knobs and fan control. Placed it in a custom centre console. (Although didnt get around to linking the cables up before selling the 110, as someone here will testify
