rtbarton Posted November 10, 2006 Share Posted November 10, 2006 If they had a brake on the left halfshaft, applying the brake will cause the drum to rotate, releasing the brake will cause the left shaft to rotate and the winch will stay still if there is a load on it, such as another brake. dollythelw Posted November 10, 2006 Share Posted November 10, 2006 I know there was a couple of sorry headed 8274 owners that were rescued by a big star at Argyle - this thing looks pretty chunky, if the diffs welded then it turns into a simple bevel box..... or you could just use a bevel box off the back of a BMW, Kwak GTR, ST1100, NTV, GT etc etc etc, cost peanuts... hmm Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

With no clutch in the drive line, it will be ‘kin powerful too. Bevel drive off a quad would do nicely ……….. I’m with Jez………………….
