need4speed
I'm about to purchase the long brake pipe that runs from front to rear on the 110 TD5 chassis. Was wondering if any of you guys happened to have a pic or two showing how it's clipped onto the chassis at various points. You see I've just run the main starter-battery cable on my 110 and I have a nagging suspicion that I've clipped into some holes on the chassis that is meant for the brake pipe.. western
might be easier/cheaper to buy a roll of cunifer pipe & end fittings & make your own. only pics of the clips will be in the parts info. rear disc no abs -- http://lrcat.com/#31/4/52926
need4speed
Thanks Ralph. I reckon I will have to reroute my starter cable as I have it clipped onto the top of the near side chassis rail before it disappears into the front of the seatbox. And I've got a sneaking suspicion that the brake pipe needs clipping onto the top of the chassis rail..
Mo Murphy
Doesn't the rear pipe go down the top of the offside chassis rail ? Mo
need4speed
I dunno Mo. That's why I asked for pics.... If your right then that's a bonus!
mmgemini
The rear brake pipe runs along the top of the RH chassis rail. I made the new one for my Defender in two pieces joined under the RH seat box locker. HTH
need4speed
That helps a lot Mike. Thanks! At least I don't need to look at rerouting my main battery cable now that I've got it nice and neat..
western
Phil, in my chassis change thread, photo of my 1989 110's rear brake pipe route, I used P clips/tek screws to secure it to top face of RH rail. HTH

need4speed
Awesome. Thanks Mo. The neatly routed cable can stay put. Unless something runs along the LH rail waiting to bite me in the ass just when I let my guard down...
miketomcat
Certainly anything pre td5 only has battery cable on the passenger side. Wiring, fuel lines and brake lines are driverside. Mike
need4speed
Thanks Mike. Can't think of anything else other than everything you have mentioned above. Feel pretty safe now..
