Gazzar
I'd really like to id the colour on my 109, as I'll need to do some touch up to lots of parts soon. Can anybody give a good guess as to this colour? It's not faded (much), it's not pastel, it's not ascot/dbg. Is it sage? I have a new style VIN plate, but there's nothing on the paint code section. Brighton paints (online paint supplier) say that they can id most paints, and have a specific page for landrovers, but when I asked them they asked for the filler cap, so I now doubt their landrover credentials. Any ideas?
bushwhacker
Pastel Green RTC 4041A possibly. With a few years weathering under it's belt.
Gazzar
No, it's too a grey paint, pastel is a lot more yellow. Have tried, and it's a mile out. G.
bushwhacker
Then RTC 4045A Mid Grey. But it still looks green to me.
Snagger
You'll have to polish up a spot with cutting compound to see the original colour before you'll get a match. If you get a paint shop to make up new paint to match this old colour, they'll fade differently.
Gazzar
It is green, just a grey green, not a yellow green. And the colour hadn't faded as it's the same under the seatbox. I need to find a local paint supplier that can mix to match. But they are all "what's the paint code?" I need old school paint people. G.
