reb78
I dont know the thread size Mo, but I have always found that some penetrating oil down the side of the injector and then a spanner on the flats at the top of the injector turned gently will free them up so they can easily be pulled out. ericobrave
Argeed, but use proper penetrating oil e.g. Penal not WD40 and leave overnight and I have never had a problem.
western
Afternoon readers,Does anyone know what the thread is at the top of the injector so I can buy a slide hammer to suit ? Mo Mo, I bought one of these via ebay ------------ http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/M8-M12-M14-Diesel-Common-Rail-Injector-Extractor-Adapters-Puller-Remove-Set-Tool-/141511749240?hash=item20f2c1ee78
Mo Murphy
Thanks for the replies chaps. I looked at those Ralph, so I went out to the garage and tried an M12 nut on the top of a spare injector, it doesn't fit. Unless of course they are M12 fine thread but I don't have an M12 fine nut to try. Did the puller work on your injectors ? Mo
western
Haven't tried it one the fitted injectors, but my spare set screws in to the M12 threaded boss on the puller.
