Maverik
Hi Folks, found these, they're plug and play pretty much - just fitted one to the 90. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230684501787?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 They work with the RRC water level sensor PRC7925. All you need is a fuse and some bits of wire to connect everything up. Mav
Ash.Witty
What's at the end of the system to warn you? Gauge, buzzer etc...

Maverik
possibly connect in your own warning light or buzzer. Correct, there is a terminal for both a light and buzzer.

Northern Paul
Liking the look of this - good find. Regarding wiring up to a warning light - could that be attached to a spare dash warning light? Might be a daft question but I am not electrically minded at all!
Maverik
Yeah I just connected it up to the gear temp light I think it is, the spare bulb in the middle lower of the warning lights...
western
connected mine [different unit] to the water in fuel light on my Td5 warning light panel, just need to get the polarity correct to make the bulb work, so it comes on when the coolant level is low.. Troll Hunter
Based on the good comments in this thread I ordered one, and it arrived today. But, it had no instructions, and not even the diagram that appears in post #6. So, what goes where? In the post #6 photo there are two connections marked "supply" and two marked "Probe", so what's what? Please, can anybody who has successfully installed one please tell me how to connect it up? Many thanks, in advance, for any help. Mike
western
the 'supply' connections are marked as + [positive] & - [negative/earth] the probe is most likely the sensor connections. looking at the list on the photo in post 6 above. Maverik
Aye thats what I assumed, and it works ok, its not very logical I'd admit and it was a bit of a guess.

Sheffield
For our 300 TDI Discovery I used an Interface Solutions IS M12T transistoriesed relay, bought from CPC in Preston for about £14. The Range Rover water level sensor seems to change from 1meg ohm to about 680 ohms, and the M12T can be wired to detect this change. A volt free contact in the unit can then be used to switch what ever warning you want. I have not had to use it in anger, but it seems to work well when I lift the sensor out of the water to test it.
