Hi guys how long do polybushes last compaired to std bushes as i am coming to the point of replacing all my springs my back springs were fitted last year ( carp part ) and they are now more or less straight and i don't carry any weight in it and has only done light green laning since fitting them i have also noticed a clonk on the back suspect a rear bush gone and i think i have a partialy siezed front spring which were fitted two years ago so i am thinking of fitting parabolic springs but don't know which bushes i should fit can anyone put me in the right direction ? graham.

Hi all i have been given an 80s mini heater but i haven't seen it yet so when i get it i will try and fit it in the area where the round heater is now as i don't think it will fit under the dash in the middle ? graham.

same here using std diffs half shafts on 750s using a 200 tdi. graham.

the problem i have with that is the s11a is fitted with a 200 tdi engine and the air filter is fitted under the n/s wing over the footwell and there is no where ells for it to go and the air filter is connected to a snorkel so looks like i will have to use a later mini type heater and have it using the air inside the car ? graham.

sorry i don't no what it is is it what H G V s have in the cabs for overnight stops to keep the driver warm ? graham.

Hi i have just recently fitted a 200 tdi to mine when removed the old engine i replaced the relay aswell so with the tdi in the steering is nice and light have you thought of replacing yours if you haven't done already its a lot cheeper and easier than fitting a p.s. kit ? graham.

i have thought of the idea of using the heat from the exhaust to go through the heater and into the cab without sucking in fumes but it would be too much trouble so have decided to try and get a mini heater next year will have to visit some classic car shows and mini shows ? graham.

just googled on minis and found a 1962 mini with a small square smiths heater which i have herd mentioned how do they compair with both the landy smiths heaterd ? graham.

Hi guys how does a 200di ( not tdi ) compair with a 2.25 petrol setting off at junctions ( and i don't mean racing ) depending on traffic you need to set off in 1st gear but normally you can set off in 2nd gear is that the case with a 200di or are they better or worse ? graham.

yeh ive got one in mine he has had a go of it and thinks its great but he doesn't want the mither of the turbo ( if it fooks up ) graham.

Hi guys i am asking this for a friend he has been offered a 2.5 turbo engine from a 90 what he needs to now is what probs does he need to look out for / what is the average mpg / and what is the mph like. graham.

Hi bill i haven't noticed any vibrations but the chassis is fairly new ( galv ) and the bulkhead has been fully rebuilt i have the cb and sterio fastened to it and it doesn't vibrate. graham.

Hi i used petrol engine mount rubbers on series engine mounts and the engine is nice and steady. graham.

yeh the mpg is alot better with the h/r gearbox fitted but still needs r/r diffs fitting at a later date i have also noticed that the engine is running a little cooler too must be as the engine is not running as hard ?. graham.

is there a spacific one i need or can i fit an after market one ? graham.

Hi guys is it posible to fit a rev counter in my s11a fitted with a disco 200 tdi as i wan't to see when the turbo comes in ? graham.

yeh it has fwhs fitted and i have checked the speedo with my satnav and the speedo reads the same as the satnav the engine was completly serviced before the engine went in inc new timing belt and lift pump think i will try a r/r diff in the back and see how it is and go from there. graham.
