Hi guys going to silverdale in stoke on trent tomorrow going with my brother in law to be in his s111 that he has just got back on the road after buying it 6mts ago i will be showing him how to use the gears as he hasn't been off road before and my son and brother in his s11a has anyone been there before ? pics to follow graham.
  3. i have also herd with a richards chassis that some of the engine / gearbox mounts are slightly out of line the thing is they will never be as good as a GKN ( british steel ) chassis ? graham.

Hi martin the only problem i have had with a marsland chassis is the fitting of the steering relay with my s11a swb fitted with a s111 chassis the new relay ( britpart ) wouldn't fit in the hole and i had to grind a few mm off the bottom flange on the relay as the flange is slightly wider than the relay body. and on my friends s111 swb chassis the tube that the relay fits into must have been damaged before it was galvanised and again we had to grind away some of the flange on the relay. maybe if you buy a better relay from another supplier you may not have this problem ? graham.
  5. Hi robotman i have a s2a fitted with a disco 200tdi engine which is coupled up to a s1 gearbox fitted with a high ratio tranny box and std diffs if my tranny box lasts that long i would be very happy hope it is an easy fix ? graham.

Hi guys i am normaly on the series section but today i saw a rangr rover on the back of a recovery truck which looked like it had been painted to look military and then got thinking about the billing shows as you tend to see them there on the military club stands and would like to know what were they used for and when were they used ? graham.
  8. for some reason i can't get in i am always logged in as i am on this site thay have given me a new password but that doesn't seem to work either but i have always found it a very hard site to use especially if you are not very good with the tinternet like me so i have decided to loose them. graham.
  9. i have just been told by the guy i am getting the heater from that it is a 60s type mini heater which means it will look and fit better as i wan't to fit it where the round heater is now so the heater is more central ? graham.
  10. Hi and welcome to the forum as far as i know all rover v8 engines from the 70s will have hardened valve seats in from new but may need recutting ? graham.
  11. the kids have bought me a diggy camara for christmas so i can show you my progres with the heater conversion when i get the heater ? graham.
  12. Ha ha no i was offerd an 80s mini heater for nothing last week off a freind thinking of fitting it where the round heater is now ? graham.

Hi guys what is the first thing you will be fitting / bolting on your landy next year for me its fitting parabolic springs went green laning on boxing day and i think it has finished the back springs off and they have only been on a year so have decided to get some bearmachs from landranger services as paddocks are rubbish and rm are messing everyone around at the mo ? graham.

  19. yep all you need to do is join badlrc they advertise in all mags they only do the derbyshire area though ? graham.
  20. the yellow lightweight was fitted with a 300 tdi engine with a burst oil cooler pipe the pipe was rubbing on a steering linkage it was also fitted with power steering in the end it was towed off the green lane as it could not be fixed on the track the owner was coing back the next day with a new pipe graham.

Hi guys a month ago i joined badlrc so we wen't on one of there boxing day green laning days we all meet up in a car park in baslow near chatsworth ( derbyshire ) and we did loads of lanes around buxton and surounding areas the weather was great and it also gave me the chance to try out my new diggy camara the kids bought me for christmas so here are some pics
  23. Mmmmm mite be worth me replacing the chassis bushes for polybush ones as they can be a pain to replace at the best of times ? graham.
