Hi guys fitted my h/d flasher unit tonight after work when i opened the box that it came in there was a wiring diagram which said 1. terminal 31 goes to earth. 2. terminal C2 goes to trailer warning lamp ( not fitted ) 3. terminal 49 goes to the power supply. 4. and terminal 49A goes to the indicator switch. i have wired it as it says the O/S indicators work ok but the N/S flash very quick and only the rear indicator flashing and also with the indicators turned off and the ignition switched on the flasher unit has an intermitant ticking noise as though its trying to flash but the indicators don't flash when it does this is it something i have done or not done or is it a faulty flasher unit any ideas. graham _______________________________ 1962 2a swb 200 tdi.

i wan't to replace my std flasher unit ( s11a ) for a heavy duty flasher unit the std flasher unit only has two wires on it and the h/d one has 4 connections on it and what i wan't to know is how do i wire up a h/d flasher unit on a s11a graham ___________________________ 1962 2a swb 200 tdi.

i used s111 clocks and s111 petrol sender at normal temp the guage reads just out of the cold even on motorways and climbing steep hills but noticed it started reading slightly higher when i was off roading and the rad got a bit clogged but after i jet washed it it went back to just over the cold again. graham _____________________________ 1962 2a swb 200 tdi.

the crank pulley should be central maybe your engine and gearbox mounting rubbers are nacked or the bumper is not fitted properly. graham __________________________ 1962 2a swb 200 tdi.

about 10 years ago we went on holiday to south wales with a s11a and a s111 both swb petrols at some point of the holiday we went to pendine sands we drove the full length of the beach and on the way back the tide was coming in we had just enough time to go up the off ramp off the beach and we saw about 3 cars still parked on the beach unatended we had a long drive back to the cotage we were staying in so we did not stay and see what happened to the cars. graham __________________________ 1962 2a swb 200 tdi

We rang them last weekend but for the Easter weekend it was too dear at £80 a vehicle ( 3 landys ) + fuel and that it is a shame because we went there a few years ago and really enjoyed ourselves but plan to go there on a normal weekend. Graham ___________________________ 1962 2a swb 200 tdi.

i fitted petrol engine mounts to mine as i was told if you use diesel engine mounts the engine will send shock waves through the chassis. graham ____________________________ 1962 2a swb 200 tdi.

Hi moony just join a piece of hose from the heater hose connection on the back of the cylinder head and then connect the other end of the hose to the other heater connection on the bottom of thermostate housing which will alow the water to curculate. may i ask why you are not using the heater ? graham __________________________ 1962 2a swb 200 tdi.

Hi all will 4 platinum spark plugs from a rover v8 engine work in a 2.25 petrol engine as my mate has broken one of his spark plugs with a cheap spark plug remover and another mate used to have an sd1 rover v8 and has a spare set of these spark plugs that he can have but need to know first. graham ________________________ 1962 2a swb 200 tdi.

my very first landy was a s111 swb and it was fitted with rover sd1 cloth seats mounted on 2" box section steel and the seats were fitted too close to the doors so as a driver i was always banging my right arm when turning so i changed them for series seats. graham ________________________ 1962 2a swb 200 tdi.

if both landys are swbs and the axles are std then yes they will fit but there is a chance that the s111 axles could be 24 splines but hopefully they will be 10 spline like your s11 axles ? graham __________________________ 1962 2a swb 200 tdi.

Hi gazzar mine is a disco 200tdi engine but fitted in a swb i did wan't to go the defender way but found the defender manifolds too dear i was quoted at billing of between £300-500 so stayed with the disco manifolds instead but with a lwb you will either need the defender manifolds or i think you can fit 300tdi manifolds as the exhaust manifold is different to a disco 200tdi exhaust manifold ? graham _______________________ 1962 2a swb 200 tdi.
