cheers guys its true in what you both say but we had a drive round a few landy dealers over the past few weekends and the defenders where all over the £6.000 mark and cheeper ones where none existente and you don't see them in car dealers we only have £4.000 and allowing for insurance and all we budgeted for £3.000 + and my missus is starting up her own mobile house cleaning business and need something quick as the fiat punto is no good fore the job but have seen a mint disco on our travels i have had a good look underneath and all looks ok and thats going for £3.000 so fingers crossed. graham ______________________ 1962 2a swb 200 tdi.

think the td engine was not realy that strong enough to take a turbo peops tended to cain **** out of them and after a wile they just blew them selves up or if you where lucky the engine would emerage oil all over its self think the td/tdi is the way to go. graham _______________________ 1962 2a swb 200 tdi.

Hi guys we are going camping in angelsey in two weeks time and the site owner ownes an A reg 110 2.5 n/a and wants to fit a 200tdi engine can anyone tell me how the performance would be with a tdi fitted in a 110 and the bad points so i can tell him when i see him. we will be going there in my s11a swb fitted with a disco 200tdi fitted towing a trailer tent so i can show him and tell him what mine is like but series and 90 / 110s are different animals so would be great to here from someone who has done this conversion. cheers graham _________________________ 1962 2a swb 200 tdi.

Hi nick with great dificulty btw i think its 250lbs my torque wrench ( snap on ) only goes up to 200lbs and i was doing it with the engine on the floor so as a tempory measure i slapped loads of lock tite on the threads and tightened the bolt up to 200lbs so i could fit the engine in and get it running and redo the bolt with the engine in trouble is i can't undo it now so i have marked it up with tipex and keep my eye on it its been like that for the past 12 months now so to do it proper you need a 250lbs torque wrench. graham ________________________ 1962 2a swb 200 tdi.

Hi guys i am thinking of having a concrete sectional garage built 18ft3" wide and 18ft6" long and as well as owning a s11a swb i also want to buy a disco 2 the garage will be wide enough and long enough to house both vehicles my s11a is fitted with parabolic springs and 750s a hard top with no roof rack and no lights on the roof and the disco 2 will be a std car as it will only be used on the road and don't know yet has to what size doors to get so need to know if possible the hight of both vehicles and taking in consideration of the s11a. graham __________________________ 1962 2a swb 200 tdi.

Hi everybody ive just bought a truck cab ready to do my truck cab conversion so next month i will be swapping the hard top for a truck cab when i start it i will post some pocs up and then when thats done i can start on the rear tub ally chequer plated hinged cover but that will be put on a new thread. graham ________________________ 1962 2a swb 200 tdi.

he tried another post office yestrday and had the same problem so decided to go to the taxation office in manchester as he lives in stockport in the morning but in the post this morning he received another tax reminder with a note inside saying the bar code on the first reminder form was wrong so he managed to get it taxed with the new reminder form. graham ________________________ 1962 2a swb 200 tdi.
