Hi steve he has had two zenith ( copied ) carbs on in the last two years when first fitted they where ok but after a wile they seem to give alsorts of probs we have also fitted weber carbs on as well and they don't seem to be much better but do think when running right the zeniths are miles better than a weber seem to give more power. the old zeniths where better you could but kits for them you can't buy them for the new ones just a new carb hence the reason i went tdi fed up with messing with carbs. no he has the std 81 comp head fitted he just wants something more reliable. graham ______________________ 1962 2a swb 200 tdi.

Hi guys my mate is thinking of fitting a powerplus carb kit from ACR automotive basicly to get away from the std zenith and weber carbs as they are very unreliable he has a recon'd 2.25 petrol engine fitted so was woundering if they are worth the money and are they worth fitting. the other alternative is to fit a di version of the tdi engine which is the way i would like him to go but he is on a tight budget of £1000 has anyone fitted one of these powerplus kits. graham _______________________ 1962 2a swb 200 tdi.

right i have wired up the glow plugs came off the starter relay to a push button then to the back glow plug i have fitted a 40A fuse is this ok i did try a 20A fuse but it blew and i had nothing between 20A and 40A but it all works fine with the 40A. graham _____________________ 1962 2a swb 200 tdi. 1997 disco 1 300 tdi.

Hi guys i have a 200tdi engine in my s11a swb and i don't use the landy during the week but at weekends when i come to use it in this weather it can be hard to start basicly because i don't have a cold start system fitted and wounded could i rig up a good quality switch with a fuse to go from battery to switch and switch to glow plug with a fuse between the battery and switch and just switch it on for a few secs just to start the engine and then switch the switch off once its started i have done this before on a works van as the timer packed up so for a temp fix till the timer was replaced i ran a wire with crocadile clips on it that i cliped on the battery and back glow plug which got me through a week then the timer was replaced. graham ____________________ 1962 2a swb 200 tdi. 1997 disco 1 300 tdi.
