have you replaced the exhaust down pipe with a de catt down pipe i have just done mine and its great more bottom end and better on fuel even in top gear if i need to accelorate it just pulls and pulls where as before i had to change down. graham ____________________ 1962 2a swb 200 tdi. 1997 disco 1 300 tdi.

Hi guys as the title says my mate has had a few probs with his carb ( zenith copy ) and the weber both carb where brand new and not lasting any more than a year and as the weber being rubbish and the copied version not being as good as the genuine zenith carb was thinking of fitting a different carb webber would be ok but needs to be a different model have looked into the power plus kits but they have gone too expensive any ideas. graham ____________________ 1962 2a swb 200 tdi. 1997 disco 1 300 tdi.

yeh i found that after i last posted quite supprised as it wasn't that long ago they where selling them at £100 maybe £125 defo not £150 but now going for £500 think we will have to experiment with other carbs cos we are sick to the back teeth with messing with webber / zenith carbs. graham _____________________ 1962 2a swb 200 tdi. 1997 disco 1 300 tdi.

does anyone know if you can still get those power plus kits for series landys and how much my mate has got a nacked zenith ( copy ) and it is only 12 months old and the webbers are useless so rather than waste money on buying a replacement carb i.e. webber / zenith he was thinking of fitting a power plus kit instead. the last time i saw them advertised they where around £100 but that was years ago. graham ______________________ 1962 2a swb 200 tdi. 1997 disco 1 300 tdi.

think you are better with the su carb as the webbers are rubbish and the ( copied ) zeniths are not much better think the ones power plus do are 1.1/4" and think you can do more with an su carb even fit bigger su carbs such as rover v8 ones or jag ones for even more power. graham ____________________ 1962 2a swb 200 tdi. 1997 disco 1 300 tdi.

did the de catt down pipe today was well chuffed more power and quite an easy job to do once i got the down pipe to manifold nuts undone stoped it from jurking when driving slowly over speed bumps. graham _____________________ 1962 2a swb 200 tdi. 1997 disco 1 300 tdi.

fitted the quare type heater in today was well chuffed ran the engine up to temp and it was mad hot and i didn't need to change the heater ( cooling pipes ) all i need now is the demister pipes which i will get from lr series when i get paid. graham ___________________ 1962 2a swb 200 tdi. 1997 disco 1 300 tdi.

Hi tonka11a like many others i have fitted defender seats in mine they are an easy fit they are on runners the back rest recline you sit slightly higher and they look good i should have fitted them years ago. graham ______________________ 1962 2a swb 200 tdi. 1997 disco1 300 tdi.
