You can use a drain cleaning attachment for the pressure washer.

This ^^^ would be perfect for the job I've got one not used it on a chassis mind but it should work well.

If you make a former up your welcome to come and use my press.

If you like filled arches 285. If you like over stuffed arches 315. I think you need 10" rims for 315 so your choice may be made for you. I run 285 75x16 on 45 and 255 85x16 on the 110.

If your not bothered about having to IVA or have a q plated then a second hand chassis is fine just make sure it's legit. I would if possible get and keep the v5 for chassis and major parts plus receipts for it all.

Your standard diffs from a coil sprung vehicle should be 3.54:1 ratio, the only minor difference is a Discovery 1 rear diff has a three bolt prop flange compared to the 'normal' four bolt flange. You can swap the flange if your donor diff dosen't match the prop.

200tdi series disco 1 input flange is a standard 4 bolt flange and the last year of that series were 24 spline.

You need to buy a hydraulic press and leave the poor vice alone. You can pick up a bench 10 tonne for around £100.

They are designed for 33's but the gearbox and chassis are set higher relative to the suspension mounts. In fact the gearbox doesn't hang below the chassis.

So I got brave and showed this to the wife this morning.
Her response: "Not unless you want to be single."
A tempting proposition, but I'd probably get left with the two tiny terrorists which would mean even less (i.e. none) tinker time.
So, that leaves you TSD - rescue it into the LR4x4 family.
If it makes you feel better my wife doesn't like them either. However she said she can't see it when she's inside!

Doesn't appear to have the 3rd hinge (middle) but that's only two holes. Our 110 has three hinges so I don't know how they figure "early" vehicles.

I'm pretty sure your "painting guy" owes you sufficient favours to drop what he has on to paint it for you. We already have a plan hatched to give you spannering room. Your d3 is getting old now.....I can go on....and on too.

Standard 20 tooth will read about 10%-15% slow with those tyres. I didn't think there was a drive that was correct as I haven't changed my drive.

My Ep9 went between the rails with 6mm steel each side on my disco/tomcat.

Nice Mike - will you be bringing it to Davefest?
Not this one. That just means you'll have to do it again next year......or the year after.

Finally it's coming home:
The wife is doing a uni coarse so she's on her computer most nights so I pointed out in was bored. After a little persuasion she agreed I could bring it home.

PS it's definitely a land rover the weather was appalling today and yes I do have some leaks to sort.

Well at least you get as much sympathy as the rest of us.

Personally I would go ep9 or tds for the money you won't beat them. I believe the land rover chassis isn't rated for any more than 9000lbs and the higher rated often are only geared down from 9000lbs to get the higher rating thus slower. I had an ep9 on my tomcat and have one in the ibex. I would also only use 11mm plasma I have a 9 year old plasma on the fairey 525.

Personal I've never given it a second thought. I've always just refitted them unless I've bent or snapped them . To me yours just look polished as I would expect to see so I would refit and set the clearances.
