    Hi,

I'm looking for a part number for the front wiper motor for my discovery 1 300tdi. I mistakenly ordered part number DKD100620M after reading somewhere that it fits both discovery 1 and 2 but the connector won't fit. I've been searching high and low since for a part number but to no avail. Trying to sort my wipers that aren't parking.

    Thanks,

    Frank

The late D1 front wiper motor has been superseded by the D2 front wiper motor.

Does anyone know what the correct connectors which mate with the TD5 style indicator repeaters are?

I bought a set of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PAIR-Land-Rover-Defender-90-110-LED-Amber-Indicator-Side-Repeater-Lamp-Light/142406594781. I thought the connectors would be 2 pin Econoseal but they are something of a similar size but with rounder corners. Can anyone point me at the right thing and where I can get it?

    Thanks

    Nick.

    They are MQS connectors.

I can supply you a pair of connectors with terminals and seals for you to crimp to your own cables (0.75mm² max.) -

Or, pre-crimped to 0.75mm² cables, with or without the glue-lined heatshrink butt crimps -

    DSC03039.thumb.JPG.f223d47698abf6d4986699d80decb641.JPG

(the connectors shown in this picture are a different type of the same series - I now make these harnesses with the type in the first picture)

I sell these on eBay, but can do them cheaper direct - PM me if interested.

  4. Looking at a clearer picture of the ARB solenoid connector -

    ARB%20Solenoid%20-%20Cropped.jpg

    and a close-up of the connector -

    ARB%20Solenoid%20-%20Connector.jpg

The connector looks like a Yazaki CN(A) 250 Series -

    Yazaki%20CNA%20250%20Series%20Male%20amp

These are compatible with the following connectors -

Sumitomo 250 Series (Armlock type) -

    Sumitomo%20250%20Series%20Armlock%20Type

TE (AMP) Fastin/Faston 250 Series (Lance Type) -

    172129-1

    TE%20172129-1.jpg

    172130-1

    TE%20172130-1.jpg

    172129-2

    TE%20172129-2.jpg

    172130-2

    TE%20172130-2.jpg

The Yazaki connectors use terminals with a locking lance.

The Sumitomo and TE connectors use terminals with a smooth underside - as the locking tab is part of the connector housing.

Depending on where you're mounting this solenoid, I would suggest that you change this connector for a sealed type.

The solenoid isn't drawing much current - so, a Superseal or Econoseal connector would suffice.

Sorry to question this but the connector has a clear single groove and fitting it your way round would put the release spring on the inside hard against the body of the item in the photo, not only would this make it really difficult if not impossible to remove but also would reverse the connectors?

You been acquiring VAG parts?? Pretty sure you need a Packard connector...these have the 2 top and side guides.

    You're correct

I've looked more closely at Maverick 's picture, and now can see that it's a NAS lamp.

This type do use the Packard Timer connector, which looks a lot like a JPT connector, but isn't interchangeable with them.

As well as being available from Polevolt, they're also listed a bit cheaper by Simtek -

  8. Hi, I'm hoping one of you super awesome Landrover Godz could assist me. I'm trying to repair a broken wire to the fuel shutoff solenoid. The wire has hardened over time and broken inside the insulation. I have a new wire and have opened the plug.

This is it from the front
    from the side
    from the back.
Does anyone know how to remove the pins from this connector. I'm hoping it doesn't require a special tool.
    Thanking you in advance.

    That's a 13-way male Econoseal connector.

First thing you have to do is remove the terminal lock (the Yellow plastic bit) -

    ESC13M-400.jpg

The terminal has no locking tab -

    3-4587-195.jpg

With the terminal lock removed, you need to lift the connector housing's terminal retainer (tang) from above the terminal you want to release.

It looks like this on a female housing -

    8ea87163-5b6d-487c-82cd-86b3022893d2.jpg

This animated cross-section shows what you are trying to achieve -

    MultiLockAnimation.gif

There are special tools to do this - but, a safety pin works just as well.

  9. Is that the varistor fitted across the 10AS units central locking relay terminals?

If so, yes - I have those.

When you're ready, let me know by PM on here what connectors you want, and I'll do them cheaper than through eBay.

I've also got lots of stuff that's not on eBay - so, please ask if there's anything else that you're looking for.
