  1. So do you agree with me or not Les? If so can you please unlock the post. What's the point of locking to prove a point to other people if the thread isn't a problem . Fine example that is to prove to other people. Cheers Steve
  2. sorry missed the points there, now edited.. 7th Charles (BishBosh) 572 pts 8th Richard (DarthDicky) and Jon (Jon W) 514 pts Cheers Steve
  3. Hi Les In my opinion you have over reacted on this post. The guy didn't post until a question was asked about the product he was selling and he made it clear that he was selling it. I don't see it as spam if he's responding to a query. However, I do think his response could have been better and he could have explained why he thinks it is the best rather than merely stating it. In my opinion the thread should be unlocked. Cheers Steve
  4. Les make sure you get that yellow ****e off before you paint. I was told that it was the primer when I got my rear door, so I just panel wiped it. Added some etch primer and painted. Now it's all lifting off! Steve
  5. If you can afford it I would put the 11mm on. You won't be able to get as much rope on as 9.5 but you can carry a winch extension too. Cheers Steve
  6. Not sure. I think to wrap a whole vehicle it's about 1500-2000 pounds. If you are thinking of a complete re-spray and then signage it would probably work out the same. Give these people a call for a rough price, I noticed them when they did the Gumball RR's http://www.totally-dynamic.co.uk/go/home Cheers Steve
  7. Yes would highly recommend Graham for quality of work, LR experience and the comfort of knowing you are going to get an excellent job done. Also Will, if it's for the business, have you thought of vinyl wraps? You get colour change and any printing you need and it can be taken off should you need to in the future. Cheers Steve
  8. Actually what happened was the switch had flicked over on to video. So there's some video footage of you stuck along with some footage of Howard's feet walking along as he was taking pics then Steve
  9. There's some pics here Bures results and you can see point score Steve

  13. Thanks to all of those that attended. Had a great weekend and I enjoyed meeting everyone again and new faces! Special thanks to winch challenge set-up guru Chris Watts for laying out course. Peter for opening up Bures for the event, the low entry fee, and helping to set out course with his son Dave too. Kay for signing everyone up and those that helped to collect the punches at the end of a day. So here are the results.. We laid out 50 punches, each punch worth 200 points. The points value reduced by half as another team got to it and so on. The winners were Paul Wightman and the real hard worker of the team Dan (self harm ) Wightman. 2nd place went to Scorpion Racing Craig and Dave.. 3rd place to Nick and Graham (in photo).. The full list is (apologies for not having all of the co-driver names ) 1st Paul and Dan 1992 pts 2nd Craig and Dave 1279 pts 3rd Nick (roguevouge) and Graham (rocker) 1040 pts 4th Digger Dave 1025 pts 5th Freddy 834pts 6th Frank 632 pts 7th Charles (BishBosh) 572 pts 8th Richard (DarthDicky) and Jon (Jon W) 514 pts 9th Dave Williams 422 pts 10th Tim 334 pts - no winch 11th Carl 257 pts - no winch 12th Rich 232 pts - no winch 13th Steve 182 pts - no winch 14th Adrain 85 pts - no winch DNF - Driveline Mark DNF - Engine (V8 ) Dave Here's rest of my pics, unfortunately not many as I lost most of early pics including fortunately for Freddy his roll too! The site had dried out a hell of a lot for April, but there was still some mud around!! Carig and Dave succeeding at a nightmare punch with a huge concrete slab 2/3rds of the way up! mmmmmmmmm, this looks comfortable!! this is the rear before it rolled over more in the pic above. I had to run round and haul on the other end of a rope attached to the roll cage with Nick to stop it from going over while Graham winched backwards to a safer position before continuing on to get punch... few more.. Cheers Steve
  14. Good See you there tomorrow. Steve
  15. Yep tried that and no joy. Must be different or very bad user error Steve
  16. I've downloaded the Midalnd 48 Excel user manual and the Midland 48 Multi manual as there isn't one for the Midland 48 Excel Multi and I still can't work out how to change the country frequency on mine. It stuck on 'i' Italy so useless in UK tried holding down am/fm and scan while turning on as on 48 Multi but no good. Also tried every other two button combination while I was there Help! Cheers Steve
  17. Fo lunch on Sunday who wants me to get some pasties, decent sausage rolls, crisps, and apples. I can cook the pasties and sausage rolls before we leave on Sunday and foil wrap so they will still be hot/warm by lunch. If so let me know. I would suggest that we stop at 12.30 for 45mins for a lunch break. Cheers Steve
  18. This company in the UK supply a similar product and should be easier/cheaper to ship to France. They range from 180-230 uk pounds. mobile storage systems You can check which one is cheaper when you take into account shipping and import tax from US. Cheers Steve
  19. By the way What does everyone want on saturday night?? BBQ and bring your own drink etc or down the local pub for food and a few beers?? Cheers Steve
  20. Yes Chris and I will be at site at 9am to lay out punches and then we plan on doing some lanes. We can look to meet up with you along the way. Cheers Steve

  23. "F*****g copy rear trailing arm has let go again"
  24. I know you posted to have a laugh and to provoke a response, so here goes.. Maurice Wilks was an Engineer looking to revive an ailing car company and increase exports of the UK. Rover had no association with Jeep and he used the Jeep as inspiration towards his design and product. A vehicle that was not on general sale or in competition. Colin reneged on a business realtionship with X-Eng so that he could line his pockets with no benefit to customers. I see no parrallel. Cheers Steve
