  1. If you want a winch bumper that's close in style to original, I think the one Paul Wightman did that ended it's way on to the hybrid is very good.. and if want tapered work of art, then Nick's bumper that he did for me on the RR is excellent.. Cheers Steve
  2. Now I'm back inthe land of the employed - well I will be on Monday I can't make Wales anymore! Got to fly to US on Monday and I'll be out for the week - b*ll*cks! Anybody need a twin room at the farm as it's available? Cheers Steve
  3. I'd like to know how much profit LRNA makes though. As they sell almost all versions at about half their UK prices I would be interested in how much margin they actually make at that level. I'm pretty confident that UK and other markets are subsidising LRNA, with their US marketing budgets and distribution costs I would bet that LRNA is currently a loss making division for LR. It would be interesting to know what sales volume they would have to reach to be profitable. Cheers Steve
  4. Have you fitted yours yet Tony? If so how did they work out?? Steve
  5. You could try getting off your arse and going somewhere else to eat. Steve
  6. Yes looking at viair ones. Was hoping to pick one up in the states at some point.. 400P 450C Not as cheap as Dubai, but still good - they range from 115 ukp for the fixed 100% duty cycle unit to 150ukp for potable one Cheers Steve
  7. What is better to go for.. A Compressor with 1.66CFM and 100% duty cycle or.. one with 2.54CFM and 33% duty cycle. Use is just for airing up tyres and ARB diif locker/s Also I assume that with this type of use there is no need to install a tank - yes or no?? Cheers Steve
  8. Thanks for the info guys - Dave my bottle is DIN type not 'A' so should be easy to get DIN to 1/4 BSP adapter. Looking at it in more detail and pricing things up, it may be easier to go for something like this.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Viair-400P-...1QQcmdZViewItem or one of these with a tank.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Viair-450C-...1QQcmdZViewItem Cheers Steve
  9. Nope using a smaller Ford/Peugeot unit that will first be seen in the Freelander before Defender. Rumours are that it will be in Defender in early 07 depending on Freelander launch and availability of engine in large enough volume. Cheers Steve
  10. need some rising sun stickers with a cross through for the drivers door!
  11. equicar are breaking a 110 DC.. http://www.equicar.co.uk/breakers/Website%.../1705/1705a.jpg hardtop looks to be ok.. http://www.equicar.co.uk/breakers/Website%.../1705/1705c.jpg Cheers Steve
  12. also try US postal service Cheers Steve
  13. Just an fyi the ones that Scorpion supply are about 97 pounds a pair They have an additional bracket bracing than the paddock ones but other than that they are the same. The paddock ones are about 78 pounds a pair now. As has been pointed out you do risk bending the rear cross member though with these on. The best solution in my opinion is a new HD cross member that wraps around like the rear Devon 4x4 rear winch cross member.. Notcheap at 530 pounds and you'll have to relocate your fueltank on a TD5!! Cheers Steve
  14. Just had a look at that - cracking trip! Instead of trying to seal it have you thought of feeding air in?? If you have on-board air, how about feeding off into underseat box with a switch. Seal it up as best as you can and if you are going to wade, flick switch before hand. Air leaking out will stop water coming in. Not sure what pressure you would need to run it at to work but I wouldn't think it was much. Or could be a completely stupid idea! Steve
  15. Hi I want to use my dive bottle for on-board air. Just tyres at first and then maybe air locker. I know you both have used these - where did you source your regulators? Did you get a DIN to 1/4 adapter then 1/4 regulator?? Most I have seen seem tohave too low max input pressures, too low for an tank anyway. Cheers Steve
  16. What are the threads for the axle breathers?? Also what else do I need to extend? Gearbox, transfer box - anything else? I'm sure someone mentioned something about a timing plate and maybe oil or fuel pump. Cheers Steve
  17. Running the same on Modulars.. Not a problem anymore as I lifted it, just thought I would mention it. Cheers Steve
  18. Are you sure they don't rub off-road?? Mine even rubbed if the back was full on-road. Cheers Steve
  19. btw 255/85 16 BFG MT's will rub on spats on standard height. Cheers Steve
  20. He's refering to the organiser of the Bulldog Trophy who's limited next years event to 35" tyres max. Initially it was 34" max and there was a big furore over it and then he changed it to 35" Personally I think he can do what he likes. If people don't like it they won't turn up, simple as that. If the event is still popular then what's the problem. IIRC the last 2 or 3 events have been won by teams on 33" BFG's anyway. btw entertaining video Tony! - Can hovercrafts enter the Ladoga?? Cheers Steve
  21. Thanks David but they came back with 55+VAT. btw I have your bolts sitting on the side in the garage, if you PM me your address I'll post them. It must be possible to ship for an ok price as paddocks sell these roll bars, maybe I'll give them a call Cheers Steve
  22. I'm amazed hammers have so many names!! I just thought they came in different sizes! I'm way behind with just 5 Steve
