not having excessive fuel consumption, when you start the engine you can hear the fuel pump kick in but while it is running if you feel the hose between the pump and the filter it seems to be spurting it is that normal
It has been running a bit sluggish for about 5 days, but it was only on sunday afternoon that i really lost all the power, will try some injector cleaner as well. Is there any way to egt the injectors out to see if they are blocked.
It is run regualy with fuel and was filled up on Thursday.
With regards to the temp sensor how would that affect the fuel (being thick), going to start off with the small things and work from there the only other thing i can think of is if the fuel pump had gone would there still be fuel gtting to the system
to be honest i dont think it is a distrubutor problem by the way the end is running, i am more inclined to think it is a fuel starvation as the dizzy was replaced in jan and have not had any problems till yesterday
Bob,
i have ran the engine and there feels to be output from the pump to the filter now that is pulsing so not sure, for what the cost of the filter is going to change that first see if that works then if not will look at the pump.
HI all can anyone help i have a 110 running a RR 3.9 V8. This is LPG converted. When i am running on LPG everything is fine but as soon as i switch over to fuel i have a massive drop in performance and the engine misfires. Have looked at the fuel line and it does not seem to be restricted or blocked. Does anyone have any ideas.
Cheers
I have a gps unit that is used by ships it is the garmin gps 120 and i have no probs with that (speedo) doesnt work in Landy, it is pretty much instantaneous
Makes me so mad when i hear things like this, you work hard, repair and build your landy to what you want and some low life scum bag that doesnt like to work or do anything nicks it,
Gutted for you mate
Aide,
DOnt think it will it. What we can do is next time i see you we can try mounting it to a nice red 110 i know of and i will drive around for a while with it to make sure
OI know a few people that have done this, not with Landrovers but other kinds of cars and the svaings they have made have been quite substantial. I would saw go for it yourself if you are confident doing it failing that try a company.
For that price i would go with the option of buying a couple of them to create a working one, plus it would also give you a spares base should you need it. Having only owned a defender since oct i have found that there has been quite a lot i have been able to do and thats with no mechinical knowlegde, really has been a teach yourself as go along job
Well can hardly claim 3 several thousand ltr tanks where for personal use only. LOL
Have heard rumours LPG is going to be taxed even more now more people are using it
