  1. Bit of a long shot, but about a year ago a guy was making these rock sliders/tree bars and selling them on ebay, exchanged a few emails with him and was going to order some, but never got round to doing it, he no longer seems to be selling stuff on ebay, and don't seem to be able to get hold of him, anyone know his work? or if he is still making sliders? attached the only pic he sent me. maybe someone on here know him/ his work? thanks
  2. Can anyone tell me if a lt230q transfer box with serial # 38g would have an output shaft tooth count of 36? only ask as its a saturday and cant get hold of ashcroft's untill monday, and need to know by tomorrow thanks
  3. ive not had any probs with mine, have you updated to latest version? if so try going back to a previous version
  4. Thanks for that, higher than what i made it, will take a look at the Mann 500 cheers
  5. can anyone tell me the correct cfm for a td5 , I made it 220 but not sure im right, need to work it out for donaldson pre filter, thanks
  6. You could try tesco's they were quite happy with my td5 on a q plate with lift , winch etc, only went to flux as I fitted a cage, wouldn't insure it after that, fully comp was about £250 before. Flux came out at around £350 fc , with every thing listed
  7. Understand now, thanks for quick reply
  8. Ive just got an xplore ix104 tablet to run memory map, it didn't come with a power supply to run in the truck, tho ive one from an old dell xps, the xplore is rated at 20 vdc output at 3.5 amps, the lind supply (same fitting as the dell) is rated at 20vdc output, 6.0 to 6.5amps pk, question is to those who know there amps is, will the xplore be ok with this at both 12 volt supply in the defender and 24 volt supply in the other truck (the 44 ton one) thanks for any help
  9. Agree top bloke and he does know his stuff, but right pain to get hold of Spends a lot of time now doing stuff that's in the comics every month Tho if it was me I would go to bell, he does get back to you.
  10. Again I'm not 100% but I think it's a bit like mixing radials and cross ply tyres, if the 13.5 is a bias belted one i belive it's a softer compound, ok on the road, but not going to last very long, I'm sure some one will know if you can mix the two, I'm not up on the law regarding radial and bias belted tyres on same vehicle.
  11. Not 100% sure, think the 12.5 was a radial claw, and the 13.5 was the bias belted competition claw, at one time baja claws came in different flavours, tho should tell you on the side wall , also the side lugs come further down on the bias ones. If they are then don't think you can run em together , if they the same tyre type just width, then I belive you can run em on same vehicle. Dodge vipers have two different size tyres to name one.
  12. Thats prob a better idea than welding bits of metal on the rim, just have to put up with tyre fitters moaning again, they only just swept up the last lot of bb's that went every were. thanks for help
  13. Ive used these before to balance up a 35 12.5 15 tyre with no problems with around 250 grms of airsoft bb. Now the problem, ive just changed over to 35.11.5.15 xtreme tyres same rims same amount of airsoft bb and real bad wobble around 40 to 45 mph just about the speed truck is driven on road, took bb's out exactly the same wobble, took em to truck tyre balancer spun em up and comes out at 650 grms, which is a heck of a lot of beads in a tyre not possible to get that amount of weights on rim, even if they would stay on, so question is it ok to have around 650grms spinning round in a tyre, and would it even work? All the search's i do come out at saying 250 grm for that size of tyre. thanks for any help, o and tyre's are round, every thing else ok on truck, fine when i tried some road tyres on so wobble has not come from anywere else.
  14. Maybe talking to a prince, think thats what Andy is
  15. The Very ones i was looking at western, hence the reason for the post as i was sure ive seen this done before, the guy had his truck in one of the comics a few years ago now i think, his reason for fitting one was to get rid of the lever next to your leg, and when mounted next to seat you don't have to reach down for the lever.
  16. Thanks for that, wouldn't think the jcb is that different to mount than the rr or discover one
  17. Was looking to move the handbrake lever in my defender, and sure i read a while ago in one of the comics that its possible to fit the jcb quick release lever from a 3cx, anyone done it? or know if its possible? ta
  18. Thanks for that, sorry for late thanks but not been able to get on Internet. Cheers
  19. Does anyone know if it's possible to fit a 35 inch spare wheel to a mantec (or similar) swing away carrier, as fitted to a 90 hardtop, With the rear door fully opening. Thanks
  20. I only bought a mid pipe from them, but found them very helpful, chased it up for me and made sure i got it ok, not fitted it yet, but as far as welds etc seems as good as any other, not fitted it yet get round to that over the weekend
  21. Found one from Alive tuning for £95+vat, dont know if they are any good or not? looks like a cherry bomb type to me
  22. Suffolk mate, tho if you want to give me a contact number or email can get in touch see if they could come up with something. thanks
  23. Thanks for reply, will give it a try, also did email Janspeed to see if they sold the mid can only, but still not had reply.
  24. After going for a side exit exhaust with no mid box, cat renmoval, ive now found out its a bit loud, so much so that not even the grandaughter (who loves defenders) will get in it. So now that ive cut a hole in the side of it, i need a decent mid box, i did look at devon's site but nearly 200 quid, thought was a bit on the expensive side.
