  3. what drum ? reduced or std ? i never had a problem with my twinmotor on +40 gearing with bowmotors, but i was running 24v though
  4. ive read through all the previous posts about rear rads, has anyone got a td5 with a rear rad ? im looking to do it to my 90 comp truck but was curious as to how it will react. will the std pump cope ? does an anyone have pictures of any rear rad set-ups on defenders with a tub still fitted not traybacked ? cheers dan
  5. i was running over voltaged bowmotor 1's + 40 gearing on mine last year and it was amazing, ive since fitted bowmotor 2's again being over voltaged, cant say what its like but im itching to get out and try it. i do intend on getting a few sets of gears but at around £250 a set its not going to be any time soon
  6. so they have been informed ? they would be one of my first ports of call if mine got stolen, a few years ago my friends 90 was robbed it was found in a container at dover hope she turns up soon luke dan
  7. pass me a tissue..........i think im going to cry you really that bad ??
  8. have you been on the phone to all the major ports ? ive been holding back as i didnt want to say it, but it might be in a container ready to be shipped abroad good luck in trying to find the old girl, its a lovely motor and ive competed against it alot of times.
  9. im just saying nothingm given jessy too much of a grilling lately matt, ill sort my form out tommorrow and get it off to eric, been meanin to do it for a while now dan
  10. yer, this time when you set out a course. if its at mow cop, try and not make it that tight that you have to needlessly demolish a tree just to get to a punch !!
  11. and me, wanted to show you a proper engine happy new year chris
  12. ahh, when yours is running on all 8 that is simon did you sort your engine out ? pm me if you need a set of injectors to try. matt, can i just send a entry form off to have my name down on all of the events ? see you all at round 1 dan
  13. exactly very good point matt whats that you say 35" limit on your events, that'll nacker dafyd up and a few others at least ive kept a set of simex for the few with tyre limits dan
  14. does the tyre size go of sidewall or actuall height ? id be interested in doing some events but i have 37" boggers that in real terms are only 36" tall how would i stand ?
  15. i really wouldnt trust the rotary helm unit of a marine cable it just isnt man enough even rated upto 250hp the better option would be the old style fletcher rack and pinion. much stronger but much bigger dan
  16. so would a trayback be allowed bow ? driver is a complete and utter novice i would be co-driving pm me a entry form over if the above is ok ill proberly bring my truck then and compete on sunday dan
  17. what a great day, loved every second of it, despite been soaked to the bones and spending most of the day acting like bambi on ice also found a very deep muddy hole right at the end of the day hey ho pleased the croud barney thank you so much for today, it really opend my eyes up. it made me realise how much i take my truck for granted with generally not giving a ***t about it and throwing it around without taking care. its been a steep learning curve today for me, and has given me a different outlook on competing, you dont need flash winches, nor do you need lockers or ashcroft stuff. all you need is to think a little harder and winch abit more. through out the day we only had 1 missap, and that was due to me forgeting that you had no beadlocks and doing a 90 degree pull with you stationary, soon cured with abit of careful winching and a compressor cant wait to get my truck out again, would have loved to have taken it today but hey ho dan
  18. i agree but there a quite a few people now buying ready built trucks, but have never competed before so what events cater for these as there aint really any novice events out there ?
  19. sorry to say yes but how would he go on if i was to co-drive for him? the driver learns alot from the co driver in my eyes would he be allowed to enter with me as a co driver due to competing alot ? ta dan p.s he has no confidence in his motor what so ever snd i guide him when ever he is out
  20. is this the same "pup" that can drive the " apparent beast " better than his ultra slick and smooth elder who taught his son so well ?? so well that he now cannot beat his son at trial events ?? or is mearly due to the fact that the truck is more balanced when the " pup " is driving thus keeping it on its wheels at all times, unlike his ultra sleek, trim and proper elder who spends more time on his side squeeling like a pig because he doesnt like the odd angle he is at ? we wouldnt need simex, then again we wouldnt even need a winch to beat you with the pug, just a piece of nylon 3 strand and human brute force. one punch and we would have beaten you with your track record ill go now and let you chunter in piece twiggy night night dont let the dog bite you too hard
  21. same autobox, just not sure if the bellhousing pattern is the same, but the length is the same as a 300tdi
