  2. i put the fire out twiggy, infact i couldnt stop after running down the hill with the extinguisher from my truck and slid right under your truck , warmed me up though glynns bitching is priceless, its so funny and his driving is even more amusing.....just forgetting what a handbrake does isnt so amusing, but much to everyone elses delight top weekend out, 1st time ive ever teamed up with twiggy but loved every minute of it not really done any damage to the 90 aswel just scratched to front wings abit more....in the right direction aswel so the headlight aim was better, and ripped a axle breather off so alls good, apart from the bank balance from today, i sinned twiggy and rang north offroad was very impressed with the difference of running the winches on 24v through 12v motors so now after finishing a event with them like that im confident to leave them on 24v dan
  3. alan, there only plastic so would crush i guess but what plasma are you running, i can get you a couple from work and give them boothy for when he next see's you

  8. what an idiot, ive just rang eric and booked my place eventhough my truck has, no electrics on it ( converting winches to 24v ) my front winch is slightly...no...completely goosed ive got a annoying click on the front axle when the lockers in and driving and alot more help please twiggy...you've always got spare time, sat down drinking tea ill never take the p outta the v7 thing again, sorry v8 dan

  14. all sorted blocked spill off line on engine too much pressure the longer the engine runs causing the injectors to either not open or stay open all sorted now finally, can sort out the other jobs for next weekends tuff trophy cheers dan

  16. ive ran the engine on a aux fuel supply eliminating my tank turbo is on boost, happens from warm when engine is demanding alot of fuel and air ( 1bar and above) going double check air lines tonight and fit a primer bulb into the aux tank and prime it manually when going along to see if that helps it got no strange nocking noises to suggest theres a burnt out zaust valve and the valve clearences are ok dont understand the backfires in nutral if held at full throttle, usual causes for a derv backfire all came out fine les, help
  17. i could flirt a spare set in i suppose it wasnt a gradual thing coming back from laning t'uvver night, whilst p***** around and overtaking, giving it some beans in 4th it lost all its guts and slowed down, its a push to get 65 out of it now, where as it'll pull right upto 90 normally since then it aint been the same kin thing its got a week, if not, its comeing out and another going in
  18. my 90 has devaloped a cold recently low end power is fine, but top end, half throttle and above the engine dies off, hesitates, miss fires, u name it, it does it its not as bad for cold but when the stat opens its horrific when it comes upto 1 bar it starts playing up, it will occasionally reach max pressure at 1.5bar, but thats with it coughing as spluttering if i rev it out in neutral and hold it there ( wel if its gonna go bang it mite aswel do it in a good way ) it'll missfire and backfire ( rather awesome considering its a derv ) so the only things ive got to go off are - horrific missfire on initial start up - lack of top end, hesitation ect ect - worse soon as reaches op temp so far ive done the following then gave up on it tonight - new lift pump - new air/fuel filters - blown fuel lines, both pick up and return back - checked diaphram for splits - check pressure side of air system - intake side of system - ran of aux tank - ran with out fuel stop fitted - carbon monoxide tested coolant..ok - checked for excess breathing...its like new and something else thats slipped my mind for time being seems to me asif its fuel starvation cant be the wastegate cutting in, its never done it in the past year :roll: of running 1.5bar isnt head gasket its got me puzzled and one else think of something ? cheers dan
  19. from my view of looking at it, id say the biggest advantage is getting rid of the tie bars you wouldnt really need to worry about bunching abit like the 8274 but thats just in my eyes
  20. great job guysm was very impressed obviously everything wasnt smooth as was 1st outing, but it was a good 1st time out for it anyhow shame we spent more time looking at the underside of twiggys bonnet when you making me one then dan
  21. yes, mine are gritted on one side and normal strand finish on the other yer the price hike is do to inflation on everything the price of raw fiberglass and resin atm is horrific ( work in marine trade ) dan
  22. my waffle board are from the same place as where you had them from mmtr had mine for nearly 3 years now and they still aint snapped they have been thourghly abused aswel so quite happy as a price comparison though, they cost me 80 quid inc vat IIRC dan
  23. how ever you are lacking a land rover eh will i use reverse location, and find it much better than the conventional way si dan
