  6. I bought one with a proper gearbox Steve and it was the slave cylinder if anyone is interested £30!, thats 1/3rd of a tank of fuel! I still love the P38 Will
  7. Jumped in tyhe RR this morning, defrosted the screen in seconds using the heated screen whilst looking smug at the folk scraping away Bum nicely warm on the heated seat I set off up the road, went for 3rd gear and the clutch went straight to the floor and stayed there! $%^&*£ Any ideas? Hydraulic fault or spring in the clutch? Will

  10. they were the first people I called Tony, arrived at 8.45am the next day, superb service as ever and only £27 inc P&P D4x4 didn't have one when I called in on my way home and it would have been £27+VAT and P&P I have done nearly 1000miles this week in the P38a and am loving it, great headlights for the blast home across the moor last night, the V8 pulls much harder than the Disco's V8 did and is more economical at 22mpg on a run Will
  11. thanks Steve. I have just sent Lucy off to the 'experts' to get it wired in hopefully. Next problem is getting a new clear indicator lens and bulb, I hit a bird on the M5 earlier today....this RR is nothing but trouble I think Lucy is warming to it though...it might be staying afterall Will
  12. Anyone managed to get a fitting kit to fit a Blaupunct head unit to a P38a? Our local ICE 'experts' seem foxed by the two offset ISO blocks the P38a seems to have.... Will
  13. I never drive through that ford (Tonys photo at the top is Malmsmead near Brendon) without thinking of a hot day one summer when I was riding in the back of my uncles MGB in the 70s whilst racing my Aunts MGB, she took the bridge we took the ford to try and overtake. It took us an hour or more to get the MG running again Will
  14. Nige When its finished can I have a play with it? oh, OK, theres no need to be so rude, I will get my coat then... Will
  15. sounds like I owe you a pint or two Steve I love the RR, anyone who thinks the P38a is unworthy of the RR name has obviously never driven a V8 one, its a great car. Unfortunately Lucy hates it, it feels huge compared to the Discovery and she feels unsafe driving it at speed (hasn't got the sense to slow down a bit... women, tut) Will
  16. Not high street but I have used these folks several times in the past and always had good service DIY Plastics Will
  17. It was a lot more than £3! I bought 2 new Bosch bulbs for the driving lamp bits. Honestly it costs a fortune to run these Range Rover things! Will
  18. Didn't take long for the P38a to start playing up! 3 days I think we have had it! Main beam bulb failure, at least it told me when it happened bless it. I wonder whats next... Will

  22. Hi folks, anyone noticed I was missing? A lot has happened in the last week. I have moved home and business, a gargantuan effort to say the least. Only moved 300yds up the road, actually nearer the pub which is good. Phone number is the same as before if anyone needs it. To celebrate the move we sold the Discovery yesterday and bought a P38a Range Rover 4.0SE manual, Niagara Grey, privacy glass and all the goodies working (appart from the display on the ICE, gggrrrr), proper drug dealers car but very comfy and a delight to be in. anyway lots to do so see ya later... Will
