I wandered into our local recycling centre a couple of days ago and came out with a set of very tasty looking Sony speakers. reasonable compact about 10"x7"x6", Bass, mid range and tweeters + bass ports. I have just fitted them to the 110 in place of the old Panasonic ones I fitted a few years ago and I am well chuffed with the result. Total outlay £5, bargain. If anyone wants the old 2 way Panasonic ones I had fitted you can have them for nothing if you come and collect them, ideal for the back of a Defender. Will

Just been and swapped the one off our wrecked Discovery, they were different but seemed the same overall size although the Disco used bigger bolts so I swapped them over as well. The ole bus feels a lot tighter now! Will

MOT time for the 110 yesterday and it did quite well....considering So I have some bits to sort. Bushes. The front suspension needs new bushes to the hockeysticks as usual, same every year for some reason so is there any sense in going over to polys, Deflex ones from paddock are cheap, do they restrict movement as much as I believe they do? Panhard rod bracket by the steering box. Mine has snapped!!! 'kinell, that explains why it started shaking a bit last week! Is the Discovery one the same as the Defender one? anyone know? Brake pipes. been borderline for 2 years so no complaints having to do them... Will

The TD didn't have the i, i being Intercooler, if you have an intercooler then its a TDi radiator Will

I have agreed to buy a series 3 unseen. SWB 7seater It was rebuilt about 7 years ago on a Galv chassis with recon unleaded converted engine, axles and gearboxes and a completely new interior, I saw it when it was delivered from the rebuild, it was better than new then, and then almost daily for the next 5 years. since then it was sold to the chap I am buying it from and he has done virtualy nothing to it or with it. It has sat in a field for 18months to my knowledge. i have bought it unseen as said for an agreed figure with no MOT or tax. Hopefully collecting it next week and I will post pics then. Someone I know was going to buy it and had a quote from a local mechanic for £2000 to get it through an MOT! the owner has had a fright and wants rid Will

I might well be up for this as well, its been years since I have done any trialling, the only two trials I have been to in the 110 have been part of the Exmoor Challenge and both times I have suffered mechanical problems and failed to finish I think its high time Trialing became fashionable again and its events like this that will do that, good luck with it fellas Will

My Mother-in-law called this 'The Exmoor Beast' after the mythical creature that roams these parts as it spat flames out the exhaust and roared a lot due to K&N filters on the carbs and mud tyres.
